A Meaningful Christmas
First let me wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! After being dormant for a while on a holiday, I am writing this Christmas message today (I hope it is timely).

Since this is Christmas time, everyone will be on a festive mood. That's a reasonable mood, nothing wrong, but one thing is vital for a Christmas celebration. One should know why we celebrate Christmas or what Christmas actually means. In this modern world, people are very busy to know spiritual things and they have many more better things to know and to care about. They even don't have the time to write Christmas in full and have invented a short form "X-mas". You know what, "X" normally denotes something that is unknown and by writing "X-mas" people declare that they don't know or don't care about whom this festival is about but I am celebrating something!
Well, all this apart, let me briefly write what Christmas is all about. Let me refer to the passage Matt. 2:11-13.
The real meaning of Christmas begins when one goes to the place where Jesus dwells. That's what the wise men did, they went to the house where the child was and presented their offerings and worshiped Jesus. So if you are a regular church goer, you have Christmas throughout the year whenever you worship the Lord in His place. But if you are a person who is so very busy throughout the year to attend the church and go to church only on a Christmas day (and may be for Easter too!) then there is no point in celebrating such a Christmas!
The men who worshiped the Lord, immediately received a warning from the Lord (verse 12). So if you are a regular church goer and a regular worshiper, you will receive warnings from the Lord about your sins, sinful deeds, thoughts and so on. This being the case, Christ will be born in your hearts and life everyday, and you will be in a good relationship with the Lord, and you can celebrate Christmas everyday!
The wise men, after being warned, returned to their country by another way! Once you meet Jesus in your life, your way of life should change! That is the real meaning of Christmas. Even after being a Christian for years together, if your sinful ways have not changed then there is no point in celebrating Christmas.
That's it for this year's Christmas, and Merry Christmas once again!
